Terms of Service

1. Scope

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the use of the web application "Kassenbon" ("Service"), operated by:

By registering and using the Service, you accept these Terms. Deviating terms of the user shall not become part of the contract.

2. Service Description

Kassenbon provides the following features:

  • AI-powered scanning and extraction of receipt data
  • Digital archive for receipts and documents
  • Spending analysis and categorization
  • Tax classification and annual summaries
  • Local price comparison (anonymized)
  • Document vault with expiry tracking

The Service is provided "as is." We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

3. Registration and Account

  • Registration with a valid email address or via an OAuth provider (Google, Apple) is required.
  • You must be at least 16 years old.
  • You are responsible for the security of your account and must keep your password confidential.
  • Each person may only have one account.
  • You are obligated to provide accurate and current information.

4. Free and Paid Plans

4.1 Free Plan

  • 2 receipts per week, maximum 10 receipts total
  • 2 documents per week, maximum 10 documents total
  • 10 AI scans per month

4.2 Pro Plan

  • Unlimited receipts, documents, and AI scans
  • Pricing as per the current price list on the website
  • Billed monthly or annually

4.3 Payment Terms

  • Payment is due in advance via the selected payment provider.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
  • Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance via email.

5. Right of Withdrawal (EU Consumers)

If you are a consumer within the EU, you have a statutory right of withdrawal:

Withdrawal Policy

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day of the conclusion of the contract.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Softure UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Scharfenberger Straße 28, 13505 Berlin, email: customers@softure-ug.de) of your decision to withdraw by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email).

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient that you send the communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your decision to withdraw.

6. User Obligations

You agree to:

  • Not use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Not upload malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Not upload content that infringes the rights of third parties.
  • Not overload the Service with automated mass requests.
  • Not circumvent or manipulate security measures.
  • Not provide false or misleading information.

In case of violation, we may suspend or delete your account without prior notice.

7. Intellectual Property

  • All rights to the software, design, and content of Kassenbon belong to Softure UG (haftungsbeschränkt).
  • You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the Service for the duration of the contractual relationship.
  • Your uploaded receipts, documents, and data remain your property. You grant us only the usage rights necessary to provide the Service.

8. Liability

  • We are fully liable for intent and gross negligence, as well as for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health.
  • In cases of slight negligence, we are only liable for breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages.
  • Liability for slight negligence is capped at €100 for free plans and the amount paid in the last 12 months for Pro plans.
  • AI-based data extraction may contain errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy of extracted data. You are responsible for verifying extracted data, especially for tax purposes.
  • The above limitations of liability also apply in favor of our employees, representatives, and vicarious agents.

9. Availability and Maintenance

  • We aim for 99.5% annual average availability.
  • Planned maintenance will be carried out outside peak hours where possible and announced in advance.
  • We are not liable for outages due to force majeure, third-party service disruptions, or internet outages.

10. Term and Termination

  • Free plan: Can be terminated at any time by deleting your account in settings.
  • Pro plan (monthly): Can be cancelled at the end of the current billing period.
  • Pro plan (annual): Can be cancelled at the end of the current contract period.
  • Cancellation can be done via account settings or by email to customers@softure-ug.de.
  • After termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
  • The right to extraordinary termination for good cause remains unaffected.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms. Changes will be communicated to you at least 30 days before they take effect via email. If you do not object to the changes within 30 days of receiving notice, the amended Terms shall be deemed accepted. We will inform you of your right to object and the consequences of objection in the change notification.

12. Final Provisions

  • The laws of the Federal Republic of Germany apply, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
  • If you are a merchant, legal entity under public law, or a public-law special fund, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes is Berlin.
  • For consumers, the statutory rules on jurisdiction apply.
  • If any provision of these Terms is invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected.

13. Online Dispute Resolution

The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr

We are not willing or obliged to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
